Life Lately [10.8.17]

Weekly Recap, Three Thousand Miles Blog,-1

LIFE LATELY: Woo! This past week has been a whirlwind. Psychiatry is officially over and I’m moving onto Neurology tomorrow. I took my Psych exam on Friday and I was so exhausted afterwards. I’m crossing my fingers I performed well. I spent the weekend catching up on things like laundry and sleep and I don’t regret it one bit.

AROUND THE BLOG: I shared a more personal post earlier this past week. I don’t like sharing too much personal information online, but after a discussion with a friend, I learned a valuable life lesson. I’d love to know what you think. You can check it out here! I also shared my experience at the Solange concert at Hollywood Bowel

LA LIVING: This weekend I actually explored a different area of LA that I usually don’t visit often. I ventured into Hollywood and it was really fun. I thought Hollywood was mostly clubs and wild parties but there are a bunch of chill lounges, rooftops, and bars. I will be sure to come back soon!

WHAT I’M READING: I never finished The Power of Habit. I think I need to stop keeping books on my nightstand. By the time I get to bed, I’m too exhausted to do anything else. My goal is to finish it this week. If you’re reading this, ask me in a few days if I made progress with my reading. I need all the accountability I can get.

FITNESS: My friend and I are fitness accountability partners. Last week was so hectic so I was a bad accountability partner, however this week I plan on getting after it. My friend and I are following a running plan to train for a race. I haven’t signed up for a race yet but I’m on the look out for a good one. If you want to join me, I’m thinking of signing up for something about 2 months from now!

HOME DECOR: No updates here. I have a few DIY projects I plan on doing. Hopefully I get around to finishing them within the next 2 weeks. Also my friend sent me a print from Paris and I am looking for the perfect frame for it. So far I haven’t had much luck finding one and I may stop by HomeGoods or Target to look. Crossing my finger I find a pretty one that coordinates with my living room!

MEDICINE: I mentioned it above, but Neurology starts tomorrow. I’m super excited to be starting a new rotation. I am very rusty with the neuro physical exam though, so I will be sure to brush up on my neuro skills tonight before I have to go in tomorrow morning. If anyone has any tips for studying for the neurology shelf then please send them my way!
